I, for one, welcome our Blackberry wielding unelected overloard being in corfu. Maybe this is one weekend the Labour party won't be able to screw up.

Truly they have no shame. They wouldn't know shame if it bent over and mooned 'em.

I think it would make sense if the holiday destinations of those in charge could be separated by eight hours according to international time. This way there would always be someone awake. There would be time for a transition and time to relax. If we have a global economy then why not get a government that works 24/7.

    Mandelson is a crook.

He is? What law did he break? Specifically?

NB If Mandy just has the Blackberry, who has the briefcase with our ballistic missile firing codes?

I believe Dale Winton is looking after it this weekend. It's part of the government's new initiative with ITV, which is a programme called 'Celebrity Finger on the Button'.

Each week a celebrity looks after the briefcase over the weekend. The cameras follow them round and gets to see their ups and downs, thus wondering whether they will chose to attack certain countries. Episode 2's guest was Dean Gaffney, who deliberated about wiping Cuba off the map on the basis that their cigars cause cancer (which is bad), but a friend talked him out of it.

Next week's guests are Neil and Christine Hamilton, and I believe Terry Nutkins is featured on an upcoming show.

It's on at 8pm every Saturday on ITV. I'm sure Pastures will do a commentary in case you're busy and can't tune in.

I believe that 'tache he sported in the 80's was a breach of the Human Rights Act.

It seems that no mainstream news outlets dare print the allegations. However the internet chat rooms and blogs are full of rumours about Mandelson, and a search for Mandelson and Crook bring up a lot of results.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt. He has done nothing which can be proven illegal. But he has the smell of a crook about him, of corruption, back handers, greasy palms and favours to and from high places.

If you are happy to let him within 100 miles of your precious Labour goverment then I think that is a fairly poor decision. Maybe you lot thought it was a step up from Alistair Campbell. What is it with Labour and non elected people in power?

Interestingly Barack Obama had to give up his blackberry on becoming president because the technology is not secure enough...
