Parking for Wembley

We've got tickets for the Charity Shield tomorrow at Wembley. :j Not sure what to about parking. We live in Lincoln so were planning to drive down. (We looked at trains - but it's mega bucks!). Would it be easier to drive and then park up and get the tube? Don't want to drive all the way there to find that the car parks are full. Don't know London at all.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Leave M1 at junction 4 and head for Stanmore Underground Station. Less than 2 miles from M1 j4.
Trains every six mins or so. Takes 12 mins to Wembley Park.

Easy to park at Stanmore at weekends... either in stn carpark or nearby street.

It depends if you're a United fan or Chelsea. If you're a Chelsea fan I will tell you if you support United I wont :rotfl:

What KeithP said, it'll be much easier that way.

If you're a United fan then I would have thought you would have lived near Wembley ;):D:D

I'm not a Chelsea fan but it always amuses me that whenever they play Man U at Stamford Bridge they sing to the Man U fans "You'll be home before we will"

I agree with KeithP, get the tube. If you go to Wembley regularly this is much cheaper with an Oyster card than regular fare, even if you only do it a few times.

In addition to Stanmore; Chorleywood, Rickmansworth and Watford (metropolitan line) stations also offer good options for parking and taking the tube.
