I've just changed my Vauxhall CD player back to an older tape unit, for this reason. Carrying CDs really annoyed me. I now use a tape adapter, connected to a 1gb USB WMA/MP3 player. Perfect, almost.

The WMA player eats batteries though..so I'm pondering getting an adaptor and hooking it into my iPaq Voice Messenger phone, that has media player on it.

CDs..not for me. Too bulky. The radio was £30 with code from eBay, the CD unit will be going back on there. It's cheap, tough, simple, and it works out of the box with the steering wheel controls and display unit.

Personally I would buy a new cd player with an SD card slot.

I find it much easier to use than having an ipod, cd changer, etc.
