i cant comprehend atm what its like to have NO money. obviously there have been times when ive had no money but OH gets paid weekly , and i get paid fortnightly, so theres never any longer than 1 week we dont have cash!
maybe my prob is i will always go grocery shopping before paying bills :-S0 -
NSD yesterday apart from 10 quid petrol OH bought.
Going to Boundary Mill today because OH desperately needs shoes and they have a gr8 sale !! Hope fully wont spend to much :-S0 -
hi Costaerer, at least you're facing up to your weaknesses and can now tackle them. I think you're right you really should pay your bills first and then see what's left for groceries, that way you won't end up getting into difficulties or getting behind.0

EG, OH going to get paid 260 tonight, the only thing i need is 20.65 for his mobile bill?? so i think im rich and thinkin lets just pay 200 off his cc bill, but i no that we dont 'on paper' have such spare cash to throw around...confuseddd!!!!0

hi, i think you need to start by pulling out the last few months of bank statements, do you have internet banking? if so then you can get quite a few months off that.
I would then create a list of all the DD's that go out and what date it happens.
I would then set up a savings account and work out what annual bills you have that you don't pay by DD and list them.
You then need to get a calendar and put the DD on it and your pay dates. What you really need to do is work out each week what needs to be paid and do this for the whole month, then work out when and how much you income is.
You also need to divide the other annual bills by 52 and move that amount each week into your savings account.
It's going to be tricky to start with, until you've built up a bit of a balance, you're going to have to really concentrate on leaving enough in each week if you need it the following week.
Do you have a program like excel? if so then you can set everything up and it will work out what you need to leave or spend each week. Pm if you want some more help0 -
