Long story. I bought a car part off ebay (was collection only, but seller was happy for me to arrange a courier)
The parcel was collected, made its way to Brighton depot on the tracking and sat there. I contacted p2g who emailed confirmation it would be delivered the next day. That was all OK. Next day it was in hatfield to be repackaged! I contacted p2g who said it was OK. Next thing it was at manchester and had been delivered and signed for.
I was furious, but polite on the phone. P2g investigated, and during the repackaging had found an address inside the package?? and so sent it there. But still knew it was my package. It had also suddenly become oversized and overweight! (it was well within both limits). I was told to claim. But I do not have the document left when the parcel was collected. So they say they wont pay out.
As far as I can see they knew where it should go as they knew it was my parcel because they tracked it. I don't understand how it got oversized/weight, and maybe it got mixed up? And finally are they within their rights to refuse to pay the £50 compensation? Should I pursue via small claims?
Any help gratefully received!
Cheers
