blinking mad bus drivers

i had a mare today going to meet my mate.
was on the bus going to croydon and the driver took a corner really fast, i lost my grip on the buggy and it tipped back. the force of it falling made the mechanism open that fold the buggy and it almost folded with charlie inside it. i shouted at the driver to stop the bus and a woman kindly helped me (i was in a right state, almost in tears and shaking like a leaf). got the buggy upright and no nose from charlie (she had been asleep). thankfully she remained asleep and no harm had been done. i dread to think what would have happened if she hadnt been securly strapped in. ive seen a kid get a bloody nose once because she fell out of a buggy on a bus because mum hadnt strapped her in.
the driver apologised and i didnt think to get his name or badge number as i was in such a state so i cant really report it.
my gripe is that the 157 route drivers are notorious for driving too fast. how would i go about reportin it now?

Normally the drivers number is on the ticket, if not just the route and a description should do.

Sorry to here about your misfortune.
157's go, I think, from Merton Garage. Look at another 157 and if it says AL on the aluminium plate by the front side window, it is. If it's an A, it's Sutton.
You bring back memories of my life at Morden, where I lived until I was 18 (in 1956). Lived in Westcroft Gardens, off Martin Way. So the 157 was my local route. Have a feeling it doesn't go through from Morden to Raynes Park any more, though. In those days it only went to Wallington, too. Now I think it goes to Crystal Palace."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0 -

Hi, gosh what a horrible experience! I've been on a bus where the driver was daydreaming and nearly drove into the back of a heavy goods lorry! Passengers were flung forwards out of their seats. One, was a newborn baby, in a car seat. Her mum was sitting near the back of the bus, the car seat, with baby strapped in, ended up at the front of the bus, just outside the drivers cab! One little boy ended up with a bloody nose, as his head was launched forward into the hand rail when the driver stopped the bus abruptly to avoid hitting the lorry.
As the route 157, falls under London Buses, you can contact London Buses Customer Services at:
84 Eccleston Square,
London SW1V 1PX
Writing a letter to them is usually the best means of making a complaint.
Here's a link to their complaints policy (PDF)
They also provide an alternative London Buses Customer Services address:
172 Buckingham Palace Road,
London SW1W 9TN
Here's a link to the Contact Us page on the Transport For London website, which lists other means of contacting London Buses' Customer Services. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Busses are allowed to drive too fast. There is a bus that runs (empty) down my mums road round the roundabout at the bottom and back up the road then off to its first stop (somewhere else where it can't turn round). Mums road is a bus route and always has been, big double deckers going up and down there for years. This "turning bus" has only been going up and down for a couple of years and because it is empty of passengers goes at speed (way over the limit IMHO). The council in their wisdom have moved the bollards at the top of the road back by about 15 ft so that this bus doesn't have to slow down to get round the corner! The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0
