Thanks N-I-D, I particularly like the last paragraph where you suggest that they take legal advice before responding to me. LOL
Well they better do before I tear them a new a-hole (on behalf of you) lol....... They making themselves look silly, the letter you got is a blanket letter that they send to everyone and has no legal standing! Its not even worth using as loo roll......2010 - year of the troll

Hi NIDS,
It's been nearly 6 weeks since I sent a letter to Natwest requesting to remove my default notice, and as of yet I havn't had a reply. Maybe it could be to do with the strike action by royal mail but I feel I've given them plenty of time to reply. What do you think my next plan of action should be do I wait another 2 weeks or fire of one of your other fine letters. Maybe they didn't have the balls to reply after reading your letter which i fired off requesting for copies of the default and termination notice on 14th of August.

Hi matey - thanks for the link, makes life so much easier (two threads have been merged now lol)..... i'd just send a quick note saying 'please find attached a copy of my letter dated XXXX, I expect a response within the next 14 days' and send a copy of the last letter to remind them - was the original letter signed for, if so when and by whom?2010 - year of the troll

If you used the orange recorded delivery then yea, so long as royal mail can confirm that it was received by the other side (I thought they posted a signature online?)
But so long as it says delivered and has a date then you've got the proof you need2010 - year of the troll

Have decided to CCA all my cards, not just the two I originally mentioned in my earlier post....Late payment fee and Overlimit fee when my payment cheque cleared my bank same day as their statement saw to that grrrrrr.
Just a quickie, on the opening page of this thread you say allow 12+2 days, whereas I read elsewhere (before choosing this wonderful site lol) that it has to be working days
Can you clarify please? Much appreciated0 -

Hiya,
Its 12 + 2 days and this is worked out by using varying laws which when put together equate to 2 days delivery time and 2 working weeks to deal with the request which is ample time - just cos they do not work weekends does not affect the statute that this complies with therefore 12 days (mon-sat x 2) is classified as ample.2010 - year of the troll

Thanks for getting back m8, I don't think the letter was ever signed for because all it says on the tracking site was that the letter was delivered at so an so date and they don't have an electronic copy of the signature at the moment. Still says the same thing after 6 weeks.
Think I'll post a reminder letter off and see what happens.
