Kid's bank account question

We're trying to find a basic bank account for our 2 year old daughter as we keep getting cheques from relatives in her name. It doesn't have to be a high interest one as I intend to funnel the money into a high interest one through online banking. It just has to be online and allow us to pay cheques in which are made out to her.
Seems easier than trying (and we have!) to persuade the rellies to change who they make the cheques out to!

A mix of Halifax Kids Regular Saver (6% if you save £10 a month or more by standing order) and Save4It (1.05% with a passbook, moneybox and instant access) can be an easy starting place.

There are other options better than the Save4It so take a look at www.moneyfacts.co.uk and see if something else catches your eye.0
