Why would someone take someone else to small claims for a bunk bed costing £50 - doesn't really add up.

There aren't THAT many parts to bunk beds why doesn't she contact the manufacturer and order a new bit? Or get something from a hardware shop? Or get someone to make it?

    Whatever happened to being resourceful?

Did she see it put together or was it in bits when she inspected it?

If the item was sold as a bunk bed and not a pile of wood, then it should indeed be a bunk bed; if there is an important bit missing that prevents it being a bunk bed, then it would seem to be a bit mean to hide behind the "sold as seen" getout.
