Can hear music but no words on WMP10

When listening to albums all i can hear is the background music but no words. As its a work computer and alot of it is locked down i can't find any solutions online. I have looked to make sur nothing is muted but i can't seem to find anything to help fix problem.
Any help, much appreciated.

yep getting sound/background music through both headphones, but no actual words.0

Possibly the sound card is set up for 6 speaker audio and you're listening to the rear speaker channel.
Which jack is it plugged into? Should be the green one.0
