Abbey 6% Current + 6% Regular Saver

Hi All.

Just spotted this, looks like a good deal at the moment at first glance
but not read all the small print.
Unfortunatley I dont qualify as I have an A+L account.

I have clicked on the thanks button for your post though because the web page that you have linked to points out that you can only open this account if you do not have a current account (or held one in the last 3 months) with the Santander group.

I am just updating my regular savings thread at the moment - I have added it to post 5 in that thread.

Hmm, I have 5 abbey and 2 A&L. I wonder if my run of luck opening these 6% gems has just run out?

From the way I read it these conditions apply to the fixed rate monthly saver account and not the current account. I have an A&L current account that was paying 8.5% interest up until last week so I have applied for the Abbey current account without the saver account and hopefully my application will be accepted.
