Floor tiles-edges coming up-HELP!

:D
Hello! I live in a terrace house in Yorkshire with a kitchen that has a slightly uneven floor with a few 'lumps' & bumps on it (concrete floor-the kitchen is below ground in a back to back terrace). Now a friend of mine who's great at DIY has put down some lovely floor tiles-after a few weeks though some of the edges/corners are coming up (as uneven floor) & it's only a matter if time before I trip over a corner & pull a tile up! Tried superglue & a weight-no good!

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Chris

I'm assuming the tiles are not made of stone, and are the type with the 'sticky' back.

These aren't any good for laying on uneven floors, as they bend and curl very easily. You really need to level the floor first.

Stone tiles are a different matter as you can use grout to level bumps in the floor.

I don't think you are going to have much luck with this, I would pull them up and either buy stone tiles or use self-levelling compound to get an even floor level. Otherwise you'll be sticking them down forever!

Hubby would say the same as VH :)

Though I would have no patience and would probably use Gripfill, I use it to fix everything ;D ;D

Then hubby would tell me off for not doing the job properly
