Jacs I think when you know they are going away it's easier when they finally go than the waiting for it, hope you understand what I mean. it's just the counting down to the going away seems just as bad as the absence...

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound flippant....(stupid sammy talking about war zones)......what I meant to say really was - I kind of detach myself emotionally just before he goes away so that it doesn't bother me......

I have done it almost every 2 years for 14 years now bosnia, kosovo, iraq etc and it still does not get any easier oh well 1 less prezzie to buy at christmas ha ha
