Online Billing
Hi.
I understand people who receive bills online can get improved tariffs then those receiving statements via snail mail. Someone told me recently that relevant authorities are in the process of cracking down on this practice as its deemed unfair in much the same way as prepay and quarterly bill payers being charged more the direct debit customers. Is this true?
Jim.

I believe Ofgem (the alleged regulator) has been/is looking into this business practice but given their previous track record of giving the energy suppliers a pretty easy time I wouldn't expect any action to be taken.Call me Carmine....
