Hang on chaps - newbies are to be treated with respect the same as the rest of us! Three strikes and you're out is up-and-running remember
For the record, the post and thank count means little, until recently you could go into the chat element (i.e. not giving advice to others) and build a very high score which gives the wrong impression on the main forum, i.e. these boards. This has changed now though.
I mean look at my post count, I have more thanks than posts - thats because I try and post helpful stuff (as well as my cheeky stuff) but the helpful stuff outweighs the gob I give people.......
Its a two way street and just cos someone has 10 or 10,000 posts shouldn;t make a bit of difference.

Isn't respect a two way thing...... i'm not getting involved but i'm just saying I got warned last week, quite severly, and MSE are not putting up with bullying newbies anymore so we have to be careful.
It does my head, like it does with with you guys I bet, when spammers come on but hey - until they get booted off all we have to do is report them and ignore them! Heated arguments will never be avoided, but so long as it doesn't get aggressive and personal then we'll be alright!
Just trying to give you a heads up.... when MSE set their spies on you there is no escape and every post is scrutinised.

I have heard that a bank loan taken out prior to 2007 and still being paid for, could be challenged and possibly cancelled. Any truth in that please?
No.
I suggest you google for a recent court case where a couple tried to get loans written off.
The loans where written off due to a legal loophole but the couple ended up owing same amount in legal fees as due to losing the case they have to pay for both sides.
Now personally I wouldn't want to owe solicitors and barristers money especially those involved in dealing with debts..........................I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Its the likes of YOU that bring this site down
Offer Useful Advice and NOT your insignificant and highly irrelevant opinion
Everyone who replies here is offering an opinion, few people are speaking in a professional capacity while posting here.
There's another problem, something quite ironic, with your post too.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
I can't understand why people have TV's, this is much better entertainment0
