Can I ask a question to settle a argument? It has been asked before on this site in 2008 but has not been satisfactorily answered

Is it illegal to watch sky sports being streamed for free from abroad? Especially if your ISP is Sky?

    Err if you use a dongle you might get charged alot, Other than that, Why would it be illegal?

    Sorry to clarify, the question is is it illegal to watch non sky sites streaming live football games from abroad?

    My guess is probably not as its the people broadcasting who are breaking any law but it would help settle a row :)

    I think the only way it could be classed as illegal is if you don't have a TV license lol (i.e. watching live tv without a license)
    If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
