hang on there!!!
Just because an e-mail says its from commts.bt.com and btcomms.com, doesn't mean it originated there! You can spoof an e-mail from any domain in the world, even moneysavingexpert.com
If you're ever unsure of an e-mail, forward it to the company's customer service and they'll always get back to you with an answer - I'd even suggest ringing them up too.0 -

Just spoken to BT the top address is a genuine marketing e mail and the bottom one is a spoof email trying to get my account sign on details etc etcsanfly0 -
If you ever have any doubt that an email has come from BT you DM me the details and I will check it out for you.
Thanks,
Jon
BT Support.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of BT. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
Also let them know the content of the e-mail if you're unsure - as I said above just because something comes form accounts@hsbc.com with hsbc.com being a genuine domain - it doesn't mean it's actually from HSBC. You can spoof a "from" address on an e-mail account very easily, so you still need to be careful!BT_company_representative wrote: »If you ever have any doubt that an email has come from BT you DM me the details and I will check it out for you.
