System Security is a rogue-antispyware program that tries to trick users into buying full version of this malware. Once inside your system, System Security will show fake security messages that your computer is in danger, etc, etc...

Google it and you should find some removeal tools, otherwise do a full format and reinstall of XP

    Try Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

Make sure you update it before performing a full scan.

I think I have sorted it now, restore my computer to an earlier time on safe mode.

    Restart your computer
    Tap F8
    Select safe mode option
    then go to start
    all programmes
    accessories
    system tools
click restore my computer to an earlier time
    click next.
Computer restarted no security system 2009 appearing at the moment.

Marty J was unable to download the link you posted system security wouldn't let me, also wouldn't let me do a normal system restore, I couldn't add or remove programmes either.

So fingers crossed it's sorted for the moment!
Thanks Marty J and m5rcc for your help.

Might still be worthwhile giving it a scan. If it's gone, you should have no trouble downloading from the above link.

If not, try this one instead.

It's a useful program to have around in any case.

If necessary download MBAM on another PC and copy to a flash drive, then try to run it. I wouldn't trust to clearing it by a System Restore, it will still be lurking in the Sys Res points somewhere.
If you can't do a Sys Res in normal mode now, then very likely you are still infected.
