Sold house wnat to invest money for 6 months (or Less) while renting, any advice???

Hi All

First time post but i could do with some advice.

We were in process of selling our house and buying another down south, but last minute when we were due to sign for purchase of house we were moving to, the seller pulled out (after 5 months of negotiations).
So we have decided to carry on with the sale of our property and rent (6 months) while looking for the perfect house.

So we will have quite a substantial amount of money to put into a bank account, we also need to be able to get at the money if the house we want comes up.

What would fellow MSE's recommend as a good bank account with instant access and some interest...?????

Thanks in advance

Tony

Instant access savings account seems best for that length of time.

Egg has just upped bonus on their account which now pays 3.25%

If you have over £50,000 you may want to look at splitting it between accounts in different institutions.
