Mbna -help

I sent off my first letter to MBNA, including a £10 cheque and gave them a 40 day deadline. The 40 days are up today with no sign of a response.

So i have 2 questions:

1. They've clearly ignored me so what is the next step? I didnt send my letter recorded delivery so do i need to give them another 40 days??

2. To anyone whos claimed off MBNA, do they actually cash the £10 cheque you send or do they provide the info free of charge 9like HSBC did)

Thanks in advance

Andy

I would report them to the information commsioners office at: http://www.ico.gov.uk/

Tell ICO that you sent a cheque for £10 gave MBNA 40 days, but they have failed to respond with the information.

I'm not having a go, but you do not have to wait for banks etc, to cash cheque first, prior to commencement of the 40 day return period.

I received my statements from Cap One in just under 40 days, from receipt of cheque. HSBC even returned my £10 - which I placed in envelope, in less than 40 days.

I would also add, was it sent recorded delivery because if you have no proof of postage and the cheque has not been cashed then how do you know it has been received.

For information: the ICO recommend recorded delivery on SAR(although I didn't do that myself and I did receive information)
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
