Reclaiming Bank Charges - Nationwide

Hi there
I sent off a letter in March reclaiming my bank charges with interest totalling £897.85. I filled out a means form and sent it back to them, they then wrote to me in May and said considering the information I sent, I was not experiencing hardship, and I should leave enough money in my bank to cover direct debits, etc etc.
Anyway after a few months over procrastinating, I am just about to write a letter trying to get a lower settlement, or I will claim the full amout in court.
My problem is that I don't have a copy of the letter I sent and don't have the exact date of the letter I sent, will this cause problems, or shall I just omit it from my letter.
Any help much appreciated.

Has your complaint been scaled upwards to a stage 2 complaint yet?0

Personally I think you are in the sit and wait category. They have stated that on the evidence provided by you that you aren't in hardship. Trying to claim a lower amount will not change that. What you have to do is provide evidence that you are in financial hardship.Hi there

How do i find that out?
When I claimed the £450 back ( still claiming the remainder £1k plus through FOS), they wrote to me and refused to pay out.
I stated i wasnt happy with this decision and they upscaled it to a complaint 2 phase. Where it sat with their member direct team.
They then agreed to pay £450 out of £1500.00 which i accepted as an interim.
I am currently waiting on the FOS with regards to the remainder.
As already said though, if they dont think that you are in hardship i doubt whether it will get that far.0
