Hotels in Rome????

Has anyone got any recommendations on hotels in Rome??? My partner and I are visiting for 5 days in June with her parents. Something clean and tidy is a must (for the parents!) and reasonably priced (for us!). Also something fairly central, within bus or walking distance of the attractions... Thanks all :j :j

I found a Mercure hotel that looked good, can't remember which one though.

My wife and I stayed in the Amalia Hotel for 5 nights for a total of £61 per double room b&b. The hotel is clean and in an excellent location only a few minutes walk from the Vatican, Sistine chapel and St Peter's. Public transport (buses and metro) is very good for more distant attractions eg Colliseum and Forum (both worth seeing). The Amalia was an ideal base for us and very good value. We would happily stay there again.
I think we booked through laterooms.com but try a few sites (eg octopus) to get the best deal.

I would very much recommend checking out https://www.venere.com - there are lots of honest reviews and really good maps and there, and reasonable prices too. In fact, we've booked a hotel in Rome through this site, and are going next month! (what's even better is that you don't need to pay in advance with this site). And you can get a 4% discount with the code: BK5HX8W

    Hope that helps
