Standing orders

Yesterday I changed my bank account and will be in the hands of the account switching team (or whatever) and they will inform of my mobile network etc of changing my bank details.
Now I got a standing order set up for paying my parents board. Will that automatically get changed or as I set it up myself, I need to do that myself. I know I need to inform my employer of my new details.
Not in any rush as this month's board is already been paid.
I completely forgot how long does it take.

They should send you a list of all your direct debits and standing orders asking you to confirm what ones you want transferred. Normally during the switching process they will cover any charges on that account while the switching takes place so I would avoid switching your wages until you are sure that all dd's and so's have been transferred. Stops you getting charges on your previous account as they will not cover those.0
