  • In reply to your question tara, i'm a sahm. I very rearley need to dress up in smart wear. I worked in pharmacy for 12 years (with a uniform, think nasty green polyester, move and you sweat digusting fing) so was very releived once i quit for good. I worked in next for 18 months and loved their generous uniform allowance.

    Afternoon everyone, todays outfit

Beige and leopard floaty dress (Jenny Frost had it on last night, snog, marry avoid) - Boohoo.com
    beige ugg cardy boots

    Beige paddington bag - Chloe

    So I am a picture of beigness:rotfl:

Great intro Sharron, I've missed being around so much but real life beckons although today like esmecullen cant get my head round it atm.

I've had a variety of jobs in the past some of the better ones were working for Shesiedo and YSL and being involved with research for Jo Malone. I was a contract worker in the City for a good few years that was only for the money and made me miserable. I am currently setting up a new business but its still early days so wont give out details of that just yet:D
Thank you for this site Martin

Afternoon everyone. The weather has been lovely hasn't it!

Was cloudy when I went out shopping for tonight's dinner so went out in black slouch trousers (Jane Norman, about £40 three years ago), long black vest top (New Look, £7) with a dark red belt to add some colour. Black leather diesel trainers (TK Maxx £30!!!) and a black cardie (H&M, forget how much) which I didn't wear once (so very chic in black today!).

Was dripping by the time I got back, so changed into navy knee length cargo type shorts (new look £12), Crayon blue vest top with a 70's style crayon blue boob tube over the top (about £4 from Primark), slippers.

I'll be staying like this most of the evening as it's so hot and humid in the house.

For the question re jobs, well I was made redundant last year but was a Database Analyst, have done verious Database temp jobs until becoming properly unemployed at the end of June.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.

What do you all do for a living? I am always jealous reading about people being off work in the mornings etc but then some of you may work evenings/weekends instead and be envious of the 9-to-5 jobbers! :D

I work for a media company, in the broadcasting industry, so no 9-5 for me.

    I've been Money Tipped!
re employment..I'm a housewife ATM. :) I have worked in different and very diverse areas, often at the same time, I don't have the staying power for even normal length days with no rest these days now, so need flexibilty, - and I'm only 30 :(, but there is lots I can do. I do the odd bit of stuff for friends. We have plans, atm, which would let me return to a mixture of freelancing and working for myself, but the right place is proving elusive!

Domestic bursar in a private school so I don't get to the shops much during term-time but make up for it in the school holidays:D. Have to dress smartish for my job (mostly black trousers and shirts/tops) but live in jeans the rest of the time. However I feel I need a makeover so have been browsing websites for fashion ideas for overweight middle-aged women;)
  • Black bootcut jersey trousers (M&S), black satin vest top (no idea), turquoise cobweb-knit short sleeve jumper (HM). Black Vans trainers with turquoise laces.

Hair in pony tail with silver band. Eyes neutral beige, outer edges bright sunshine blue MAC, eyeliner, Bad Gal mascara. Neutral beige pink gloss. Nails plain, just nail envy on them today. Silver bangle, present from India 20 years ago.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
