Wireless internet connection problems

Been using a Micronet ADSL2+ modem router with a Micronet Wlan USB adaptor for my XP desktop.....been working great for over a year but tonight it has gone to pot for no apparent reason.........for some reason explorer wont now display web pages......the dongle is active and detecting the wireless network and receiving signal from the modem at 70% but the pages will not load.

I am at a loss as my Vista wireless laptops are working fine on it?

Any ideas anyone...............thanks

Elmer:confused:

might be worth rewindin to yesterdays restore point to see if windows or another program has updated itself and messed up your settings or drivers or something.

Thanks Nano...I used a restore point fom 4 days ago and this did the trick...although the dongle does not like being used on a 4 way usb hub on a cable anymore and has to be plugged straight into the computer.

    Cheers;)

The dongle is probably USB 2 only and the 4 way hub is not USB 2 compliant.

Glad to hear it. if the problem reoccurs you may have to switch off automatic updates and install them manually to block to offending update from reinstalling itself every time you switch on your computer (I did).
