On Monday I reserved and on tueday I brought a go go hamsters deluxe gift set from argos. It stated on the website it included a play ball, when the women brought it out there was no play ball, I told her what it had said on the internet she checked it but the statement had been taken off. When I got home I emailed customer service who had a 48hour reply, by thursday evening nothing so I emailed again and I called but was told mistakes happen and theres nothing they can do. So I emailed again and within 2 mintues I had a reply saying they can not find anything to say a mistake had been made on that item. I am no lier I saw it, thats the reason I ordered from argos after a few more emails they are still saying mistakes happen and there nothing they can or wont do! but as far as I am concerned when I reserved and brought it the website stated it included a play ball. Argos were false advertsing this item so they should honor it. Customer services dont seem to care what should I do? I have said I will print all emails off and my resevasion email and send to head office.

If you have proof and want a hamster ball that badly then follow it up, otherwise your wasting your time and go and spend £4 on a hamster ball.0

I'm with foxwales on this one. If you can PROVE that it should have been included. You should get it, if you can't, well, you wont...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I'm the third person to wade through a difficult to read lump of text about something as dramatic as a hamsters playball!!
Just tell the hemster you will get him one on your next visit to the pound shop, I'm sure he will understand.0 -
its not for a real hamster ball its a kids toy the ball on its own is £9.99 at 1st i thought it was to good to be true and i always thought i wouldnt get anywhere and to just buy one but its more about princeable now i annoyed that they thought i was lieing and just brushing me off if it was a big item like a tv which included a free dvd player it would be differentpls try mine 0335 0918, 5145 0816, 0311 2011, 7134 2143, 2019 1259 new one 2071 01390

Here- have some of these: ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.
Use them wisely, or even just use them, might make your post legible.:rolleyes:0 -
Ever heard of punctuation?? It would make your text much easier to read, then you would get more help.
If you have a screen dump of the page stating it came with a ball, then pursue it if you want to, but mistakes DO happen, so I'm with Argos on this one. Some shops will honour these mistakes, but they don't have to.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
we use this forum to vent a little, get a little help and advice or pass on savings/tips to others, i don't think it's printed anywhere that we have to be first class users of grammar and punctuation so lets just try to give melannkee the help they are obviously looking for instead of making them feel worse than they already do.
i can sort of see what you are saying, but at the end of the day this is how i try to look at most things before i take action- some things are worth fighting for, and some things arent. in this case, its just a ball. is it really worth you getting stressed about? somehow, i think not and sorry to use the hippy chick mentality, but really, life is too short! take it back, get a refund and do your shopping elsewhere. if you feel that a shop has been rude or unjust to you, just take your money elsewhere. there are plenty of other retailers out there who will be happy to take your money and provide the exact goods they advertised.0 -
If it said, on an earlier version of Argos's page about the item, that a free ball was included .... and presumably the current page doesn't make any mention of this freebie ..... (have I understood correctly?)
Can you find this original page on a Web Archive server anywhere?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

melannknee, ignore the comments regarding punctuation etc, they are a little bit rude in slating you on that.
But I'm sorry I have to agree that I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill here. Simply return the original item for a refund and spend your money somewhere where you will feel more appreciated as a customer. I think most people have had something like this happen and you just need to chalk it down to experience and forget about it.
You'll end up giving yourself a heart attck if you continue to stress about such small problems. Very appropriate saying here...
