Perhaps the "increases" in house prices recorded by Haliwide are the market restabilising after over-shooting due to low volumes ie the rapid drops were exacerbated by low volumes giving an unrealistic view now being "corrected" by higher volumes QED no house price rises, they just didn't fall quite as far as everyone thought and the figures appeared to show:D

I don't think you weirdos are treating my first on-topic house-prices related thought in 700 odd posts with due respect:mad:
Prices were dropping at several percent a MONTH and now they appear to be going up, it's loony
Whod pay more for a house now that unemployment and repos are going up at record numbers and everyone is pooping themselves abotu the future?0 -

House prices are higher when priced in pounds. House prices have crashed, the crash in sterling hid it from many.

We've had an offer accepted and had the valuation done which has come in low. Looking around we have the choice to buy an unsuitable house or an overpriced one. It isn't a great choice but I know which one I'd rather live in.
