Hello guys! :hello: This is my first post but I've been reading advice off moneysavingexpert for years but lacked anything substantial to post.
I need your help as I'm hitting brick walls . This is quite a complicated request for help.
I'm planning on proposing to my girlfriend but I want to make it something extraordinary. Here’s what I need to get for under £1600 -
1) Return flight from Bristol (up to one change) or any London (Direct only) airport to Toronto Canada on the 04/11/09 to 07/11/09.
2) Transport to Niagara Falls and back to Toronto on 04/11/09 to 06/11/09.
3) Superior Fallsview or Fallsview King Room at the Sheraton on the Falls hotel for the 04/11/09 to 06/11/09 (that’s two nights).
4) Reasonably good double/king room in Toronto near the CN tower on the 06/11/09 to 07/11/09 (that’s one night).
5) Helicopter ride over Niagara Falls on 05/11/09.
6) Reservation at the CN Tower on 06/11/09 evening for a meal at the restaurant.
I know this looks Picky but I want this to go smoothly and to be amazing. I need to book it somewhere that is ATOL protected as I know booking them all individually would be cheaper but that is a very high risk if one of the links breaks!
Please help as I need to get this sorted ASAP before we move in together and I don't get much free time alone to plan this surprise holiday!
The dates are set in stone as I cannot get time off work for any other days, i.e. only have Wednesday 4th November to Saturday 7th November (arriving home on Sunday 8th November)
Thank you for your help!!!

You'll struggle to keep it cheap if you fly back on a saturday - everything you are asking for is bookable on the internet. Fly with a major carrier and you won't need to stress about being ATOL protected. However, I'm sure if you visit a local travel agent they'll be able to book you exactly what you want.Legal team on standby0

Is your price of £1600 for one person or for two?!0

I've had a look on www.canadianaffair.com there are no available flights returning on Sat 7th Nov. The best I could see was Gatwick to Toronto on 4th TS123 returning sunday 8th (landing 04.15 on monday 9th) TCX5L price for 2 adults £656. There seem to be plenty of flights out on the 4th including from Exeter (you mentioned Bristol so not sure if this was an option).0

I think you may be able to get the Renaissance Toronto Downtown hotel for around £48 for the night of 6/11/09. It is part of the Rogers Centre and right next to the CN Tower. PM me if interested and I'll tell you how I think it may be possible.
Make a reservation for the '360' Restaurant at the top of the CN Tower online at www.cntower.ca.
When myself and Mrs Baker visited Toronto and Niagara Falls for our honeymoon, we used www.kingtours.ca for a day trip to Niagara Falls and a helicopter ride over the falls. They were very professional and it was well worth the money we spent.
I can't help you with the Sheraton at Niagara Falls but I reckon I can give you details of how to get the Niagara Falls Marriott for about £50 per night for a Superior Fallsview room (situated on floors 12-18 with views over the Canadian Horseshoe and American falls). Again, PM me for details if you're interested.
Looking at flights, they seem to all be in the £700 per person bracket - whether going from Bristol or London.
Best of luck. This space has been intentionally left blank0

It really really sounds amazing! But you could do ur whole wedding for that.
Why not plan the wedding arrange it and get her to the venue and hope she says yes?Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0

It might not be possible to fly over Niagara Falls due to weather conditions on the day.0

I've been lucky enough to be to Toronto 3 times, including a 9month stay! On my last trip with DH I went up in a light aircraft over the falls and it was amazing! Not sure how that differs to helicopter trips but was great. If I can find my certificate I'll post who it was through.
My DH was quite disappointed with Niagra itself, the falls are amazing but the rest of the resort was quite tacky and I would rather do Niagara in a day and spend another night in Toronto. Would definitely recommend a stop at Niagara-on-the-lake though which is a very olde world village.
We booked our trip through Canadian Affair who were excellent.
We stayed in the Westin Harbour and the Metropolitan for our stays in Toronto itself.
 You'll have an amazing time!0

            Hi,
we stayed in a corner suite of the Sheraton on the Falls on the 19th floor a few years ago.
The view was amazing - we could see both falls.
Remember to request a HIGH FLOOR at the hotel.
We initially were put on the 4th floor, and had no view at all. After a small fuss we were moved tho, and it was well worth it
 Cheers,
 Karen0

A quick search on Kayak brings up Air India flights from Heathrow for £431 each book through Ebookers.com on the dates you want.
Even if you averaged £80 - £100 per night (worse case) for 3 nights it will still leave £438 which should be more than enough to do your other activities?0

OP? Has any of the advice so far been of any use? This space has been intentionally left blank0
