I've had problems replacing a worn out diaphragm in a toilet cistern which prevented it from filling efficiently after flushing. I only needed a small part but the local plumbing supplies were unable to help. I went to B&Q were I bought the bathroom from in 2003. They don't carry the part and the suite is discontinued this is pretty much what I expected but the lady on the kitchen/bathroom dept said that if I could find out the style she would try and get on for me. I returned 20 minutes later with the receipt from August 2003, why I still had the receit, but glad I did.
She made one phonecall and with 2 minutes the part was on order to be delivered straight to my house. Without this I faced having to replace all the inards of the cistern which would have meant getting in a plumber and some big bills. Very pleased with B&Q.

I used to work many years ago for B&Q. Back then it was part of the company ethic to always try and do what is right for the customer and not for the business. I'm glad to see this continues!
