child support

Hi
Can any one give me some advice on child support new system
I have been paying child support and i have some money in arrears
when my child turns 18 do i still have to pay my arrears? :confused:

    Yes, your account with the CSA will remain open until all arrears are paid, however long it takes.

    Be aware, that if your child is in further education, you will be liable for payments via the CSA until they are 19.

    No they don't. You stop paying maintenance for the child but you still have to clear your arrears.

    Not all in one go but they will push very strongly to get them paid off in the shortest time possible & they're not very flexible.

    What's the worsed they can do you think. Can they make you sell your assets or take money out of your bank account with out your say so

    No they cant the rules in the 'Whit Book' are clear on this point, not that the CSA are even aware of this!

    Kenzo - in one of your other posts you mention csa are using wages and tax credits to calculate your income. In this one you ask about what happens re arrears. Am I right in thinking you are therefore employed because if you are and dont pay chances are they will impose a deo on you which could be at 40% of your earned income. I may have picked your post up wrong so if so I apologise in advance.
