ive just recieved a phone callfrom a company who are working as part of the OFT to reclaim peopls bank charges back, this woman rattled on about how the company could get my charges paid back to me within 14 days because of a ruling that was past in the high courts last week
ive never heard of a ruling being past, i told her i had already sent letters into halifax and they sent back about the court case still ongoing blah blah
anyways she says that basically ive been put on a waiting list till the banks can settle and agreement to make the charges lawful at say £15 per charge instead of the £35 which they like to charge
once that is past that anyone claimg charges back will only get half the charges back.and she said she could get it all back plus an 8% charge on top which her company would claim off me for the expsenses
she had just about all my bank details then ask me for the 3 pin verification number from t back of my card which i refused to give her
she then give me her full name and contact numbers(landlines) t all sounded well dodgy and that she would send all the forms out in the post, she then past me to another gentlemen who wanted my details so they could claim the £50 within the next 48 hours for there service unlike the woman who im sure stated that they would take the monay after i get my charges back i just ended the phonecall saying im not giving you my verification number
anyways i was wondering is this one of them companys you see advertised about claiming your charges for you or has a ruling been past, or has someone just try to scam me

I got a call Wednesday from some company - no doubt a scam, saying they could wipe out my debts for me. Never proceeded as far as bank details, though, However if she asked, I would have told her where to go.
She hasn't called back since.0 -

Not an uncommon lie to be told by some of the dodgy claims companies. It's a lie that has gone back years in various forms (working for the Govt.... help you claim from a compensation pot that is just waiting for you... etc etc)
If companies are willing to tell lies and break rules to get you to sign up, what other rules are being broken and other lies told.
There are going to be claims companies to claim against claims companies soon.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Banking Solutions Bureau is a trading style of Reclaim 2 Gain Ltd - and yes THEY are currently MOJ suspended voluntarily as their mothership Touch100 are in liquidation.
Could you report the calls to the MOJ too please
