Scottish Power Standing Charges

First attempt at using a Form so here goes. I signed up on line last year to Scottish Power Fixed Price Energy 2009 offer.

I have a copy of my printout which shows that I opted for NO STANDING CHARGE. I have just rung SP who gave me details of the new scheme I could sign up for from 31 August which included explaining what standing charge I was on and what the new one would be. Having hung up I checked my online bills which show that I have been charged standing charges for both gas and elec. I called back and was
advised that on my usage this would make a difference of c. 25p per year!!!

Can anyone tell me if this is right or are they pulling a fast one. Thanks Jan
