Anyone bought from Comet online last week?

i think i am going mad!
I bought a cooker online last week for my mum - i was very sure that when we clicked on the free delivery that it also stated it included installation - when we got the receipt emailed through it did not state installation only delivery so my mum rang only to be told that there was no free installation
i am so sure that when we looked at it it said that it also included someone to install now i am waiting for someone from customer services to ring me back - unfortunately i have no way of proving or disproving what i saw but wondered if anyone out there bought a product online from Comet and saw the same thing:rolleyes:

from what I remember they have free delivery slots but there are boxes above the delivery slots that need to be ticked for installation , so the Free delivery bit is highlighted in colour but the installation is not so clearEx forum ambassador

thanks - i have had a look today and its completely different from last week - this week you have a choice of free delivery plus £45 for installation or standard delivery (can't remember what that said) and then free delivery but i am so sure that last week it was almost like some kind of special offer and i was sure we had clicked on it and it said about them installing aswell - when my mum spoke to a young guy earlier he said that he couldn't see anything to do with the installation either and he would log it so it was kind of like admitting there was a problem but refusing to do anything - i am annoyed cos my mum is in her 70's and i was sure i had got the best deal for her and she obviously doesn't was the hassle of cancelling etc but i feel as though i have been done - maybe i am wrong with what i read - just very frustrating as i have no proof:mad:The mind is like a parachute. I believe Comet sometimes offer free delivery and installation on selected products. Is it possible you saw this, but then chose something outside the promotion?Squirrel!If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. thanks Takoda - my mum is getting someone local - he is charging about £20 - so Comet can go and whistle for a further £45 but i really did believe that installation was included and my mum is on a tight budget being a pensionerThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o
