Mr

Hi, could you please help,i received a parking fine from a private company in april. I was shopping in Lidl, and stayed more than the time it says, which 1-1/2 hour, i have done it before, and never happened to me. I went to the forum and did exactly what you said is to ignore them. The letter is in a bromn envelope and says:CHARGE CERTIFICATE civil parking charge notice and they had cctv camera, which i don't think i was displaying CCTV in the parking. So as you know the procedure;1st letter were asking for 45pounds if paid within 14 days, then 2nd letter for 90 pounds if not paid they would pass to debt collectors. So now this morning i received the 3rd letter from their debt collectors saying that they would take me to court, and it would affect my credits( loans, mortgage, credit cards etc...) I did as you said, not to reply to them, my wife is worried. Can you please help what to do. Thank-you so much

In your circumstances I would proceed on your current course of action, it is very effective and very easy to do.

Yup - Keep on ignoring the empty threats. Just file them as evidence of a variety of wrongdoing on their part on the (miniscule) offchance they do go as far as court but don't hold your breath! :)

    Thanks

Makes no difference where in the country it is the advice is always the same, IGNORE.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
