Firstly I would like to point out that I am at work hence this being posted at 4:30am!
My TFT monitor died a couple of weeks ago, I took it round to my brothers to see if he could fix it but sadly it was terminal. I was going to see if I could sell it on ebay as spares or repairs but having had it sat on the bottom of my stairs for a week or so I noticed that in a certain light there is what looks like a flash of lightning about 4 inches long at the bottom of the screen so I am guessing that the actual monitor would be of no use to anybody and as such not worth putting on ebay.
Apparently the power supply for this model is extremely hard to come by so was thinking of putting that on ebay on its own. My brother tested the power supply when he was trying to find out what was wrong with the monitor using a volt meter and on a 6 pinned plug 2 pins showed 0, 2 showed 5 volts and 2 showed 12 volts. Does this mean that the power supply is working or is there another test that would need doing to establish this?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts...

Sounds as though the power supply is working, personally I would ebay both the monitor and power supply as one...that way you can list is as faulty and have no comebacks from any buyer if there is a fault. there is a higher probability of selling the two items together as someone (with more knowledge) maybe looking to repair the screen or even use it as sparesWelcome, rogerramjet.

Thanks...
Was thinking of just putting on the power supply as the monitor is one of the older tft's and is still fairly heavy so would cost about £15 in P & P which for something that doesn't work is a bit steep!0 -

No, I didn't ged mad with it! It just wouldn't turn on one morning - the power light on it flashed really fast for a bit then didn't flash at all.0
