hi,
I recently used energyhelpline.com to switch gas/elec from scottish power to npower - this process is currently underway, npower having phoned me up to get meter numbers etc.
However i've been hearing some not-so good things about npower (surprisingly large bills etc) recently and i'm not sure switching to them is such a good idea any more. Looking at energyhelpline it seems that EDF might be a better bet - although the savings are not quite as high the service rating is very good in comparison..
So my question is - am i right to be concerned about npower? (i'm not totally sure of my usage having just moved house, if that makes a difference) and if so, do i have to wait until the transfer is complete before switching to a new company (edf perhaps) or can i start the process now?
thanks
jeff

You should wait until they have an account open with the correct meter read and you have a final bill from your current supplier with the same read. Otherwise you may end up in a mess!Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

How far are you within the switching process to npower?
Are you still within your cooling off period?
If so, contact npower now and cancel the switch.
If not, then I would do as Joyful suggests and wait until the switch is complete and then switch else you will create problems for yourself.
Btw, don't listen to all the gossip you hear about various energy suppliers. I'm sure there is not not supplier that has not received some criticism on this site. Maybe discover for yourself what you think of npower, especially if they are the cheapest. They may not be as bad as others will have you believe."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
