Buying airport car parking in advance

We will be driving ourselves to coventry airport,and leaving it there for 10 days in June.I know for maximum discounts you have to book 4 weeks in advance.The only problem is our people carrier broke down the other day,and needs the head gasket replacing, so we aren't sure whether it will be fixed in time/at all to do the journey,or whether we will have to use our other smaller,smellier car,or whether we'll have a new one by then.
So once you've booked can you change the reg of the vehicle, or is not possible for us to book in advance if we don't know which car we're booking for?
Also,I'm sure when I booked last year,I got a link from somewhere on this site to do it cheaper than through the airport site,anyone know what site that was?Thanks.

We got a brand new car last year just prior to us going on holiday. We knew that we would be getting another car at the time of the booking (approx 8 weeks before holiday) and Purple Parking at Gatwick were brilliant and just asked that we inform them of the reg no as soon as we knew it . They want your money so I think they will accomodate your request to advise reg no at a later date. hth

from what i understand its logical to book asap at the cheap price and you have up to 24 hours (no fees) to cancel before the parking commences...a good link for parking i have for a few pounds cheaper https://www.aph.com/toysrus hth

Don't think APH or any of the other usual parking websites include Coventry?

You might want to try Claren Parking.

I found airport parking shop gave me the best price in Edinburgh. Don't do Coventry though. Sorry
