where should i put my £40 k

I have just under 40k to invest i currently have it in a cahoot net account paying 5.65 Aer till nxt summer, not sure ime going to get better than that, but any kind of investment would be an option as long as my money is fairly safe..any ideas ??? cheers Andy c

Egg is a good a/c but you're going to struggle to beat your Cahoot rate.
