Do you mean the PMT symptoms as side effects? I wouldn't normally even consider taking pills for anything like this, but my period brings me down when I'm at home so when I'm holiday it completely ruins it for me and that's all I remember. Not the holiday but the fact I had a period! I will ask for it and try it, can always stop taking it but I'm willing to give it a go! PMT symptoms always exist for me so that will be nothing new.

Many thanks. When you say 2 periods a month, do you mean 1 every couple of weeks for 3 months or was it just the way the dates fell -

It was one every 2 weeks for me, as for warning signs I honestly can't remember as it was so many years ago, but I'd have said any signs that you usually get eg pain or PMT symptoms would still continue. Side effects are different for everyone though, you may be lucky and get none.

I'm like you in that my periods would totally ruin the upcoming holiday for me, I have a bad time with them at home anyway, and it would be all that I think about while I am there. Like you say, you can always try it and if its not working for you, come off them.

    Thanks, just wanted clarification!

I think I'll get them and then decide! Although saying that I think I'll give them a go and I can always stop them if it's gets bad. I've read some real horror stories about side affects but on the flip side I've read some really good stories! Guess it all just depends on the person, as with everything.
