BUT it may be worth waiting for the BA September sale.

You wont get it cheaper - the taxes and fuel surcharges alone are about that price!0

I have flown to the US several times for less than £200.The travel dates are too narrow! The only person I could go with keeps saying they've done NYC and would find it boring going again. Sigh:rolleyes:
Can anyone ever say that they have completely done New York?Gone ... or have I?0 -

I've also been 11 times and still don't completely done New York.. people seem to forget Queens, Brooklyn, etc which all are part of NYC

not this year, it was last year, when i got a flight for that price...
... delta.com however, it was a glitch on their system that lasted a day, and they honored the flight prices at £149 return... aaah.. that was great going so cheap!

I found some for £150 return about a month ago on Momondo2013 Wins :j:
Total Recall Bluray, Robot & Frank tickets, Taken 2 Bluray, Borgen DVD, Aliens: Colonial Marines game, £1475 cash, Kellogg's Cereal, NY trip to see Beyonce, a mug, Liberty x Dockers event tickets, Iggy Azalea tickets, bottle of champagne, theatre tickets to The Pride, VEVO Halloween party tickets...0 -
I don't want to start a debate but I understand people not wanting to visit the same place over and over. There are so many countries I wanna see before dying so visiting the same place every year would bore me a bit!
Doesn't that fly in the face of the advice offered in your signature
Current taxes and charges on BA London - New York are £203.60 so matthew's comments aren't too far off the mark.
Although there are occasionally glitches (a la Delta dropping the Fuel Surcharges by mistake), or people having flown by Laker for £50 in 1977, if you wanted to go to New York and were offered a fare for £216, and were happy flying with Kuwait Airlines, and there was availability on those dates, I would hope (?) the consensus would be 'book it up'. The reality is that there are fewer sub £250 flights to New York than their have been, and anything less, is generally an excellent fare.
I'd even go as far as saying that for BA / Virgin £270-£300 is a 'good' fare! I wouldn't try and raise hopes that most people can get flights cheaper, as I suspect they won't, but am interested to hear if I am wrong!0 -
BA and Virgin seem to be cutting capacity on NYC this winter. With this in mind I'd say if you can get either for £270 you've got a bargain. Mind you there are plenty of other carriers of equal stature these days.Timmay!0

Had a quick look at e-bookers from London for the above dates- are £209 on Air France (operated by Delta) non stop - it appears to be a glitch that has dumped the fuel surcharge, so well worth looking at - £209 inc tax shouldn't be sniffed at, especially direct!0
