Free 14 day breakdown cover with Total

Fill up with 30 litres of any fuel (10 if your a bike rider) and received 14 days breakdown cover for free at Total garages. After filling up you get a leaflet with an activation code to use.
You can keep renewing it as you fill up throughout the summer apparently. Ideal if you are planning a big trip but can't afford a year's worth of AA/RAC membership! I think it covers at home as well as roadside recovery.

Sorry if this has been posted before, I did do a quick search.

This has been posted horseykitty but it was a couple of months ago but worth reminding people msers about it.

I get some breakdown cover with my motor insurance but that doesn't cover me at home and the policy is quite limited.

The Total definately covers home as well as roadside. I've been using it on and off (mostly on) for the last couple of months and I needed to make a claim when the car was at home, the service was excellent.

I'll move this to the motoring board. It's a great offer but you have to spend money on fuel so not a complete freebie. Thanks for the post :)
    MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com

Interesting this, round here total fuel is 3p a litre more than Tesco's so if you just fill up with 30 litres it costs you 90p for 14days cover and if you did this all year it would cost you £23 per year. So if you are using less than 60 litres per fortnight it's probably worth doing this. Does the Txt cost anything?
