You borrowed MORE money? Jesus Pickles, you have nerves of steel.
Fair play though mewbs, it was an unsecured loan.
I mean, come on,............. what's a guy to do when he runs out of "equity" ?"The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

Try getting even £1k off a small Huyundai, without scrappage, then post back here when youve succeeded.
I wouldnt even pay 1k for a small hyndai anyway.
But, BEFORE this scheme took place, yes, you would have more of a chance, PLUS you would be able to part ex your existing car somewhere.0 -
The whole scrappage scheme is surely just an example of how the credit lessons have not been learnt. We, taxpayers, are forking out ever more money to prop up some discretionary spending, and hoarding by banks. We are effectively Printing money, taking out a mortgage against our futures.
We owed too much last year, and the year before... and now we are going to owe even more. What a brilliant plan.
edit: I blame Pickles and his bloody Aygo. And his 500k mortgage.0 -

I've said it before and I'll say it again..........
How can anybody, looking around and thinking "what has gone wrong with the economy", come up with the solution "I know what the problem is - not enough cars"
I'll tell you who comes up with solutions like that........... liars, thieves and politicians.
It's a f*cking joke"The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

Well they are not increasing the number cars EG they scrap one for each car purchased under the scheme. 1-1=0
It is to stop people losing jobs, but I suppose that is the wrong decision for most on here, unless it is their own.:rolleyes:0 -

I love the lack of facts people use on here.:T0 -
I'd rather some people had been given jobs doing something that would have improved the future: e.g. renewable energy production, than enouraging (often) unneccesary waste.0

If cars dont sell they are never developed.
EG look how diesel and hybrids have developed over the last 10 years. If they did not sell enough cars to improve development we would all still be doing 20-30MPG max.0 -
