Sarsons Spray on vinegar..opinions please!

I see Sarsons make a 'spray on' vinegar. It is more expensive that the normal 'shake' type bottle.
I would like to know if anyone has tried the spray type, and overall is it more economical due to the dispenser.
Many thanks.

Spray on vinegar. What an excellent idea!
Cant believe nobody has thought of this before. No more vinegar puddle! If Sarsons are charging a lot more for their own spray bottle, well I'm sure you would only ever have to buy one of them, then after that you could just refill it from then on. Alternatively, pound shops sell those little empty spray bottles, theres no reason why, if you wash it first and label it, that you cant use one of those and then put "own brand" vinegar in it too for extra value!!!0 -
I've seen chip shops using plastic spray bottles with vinegar in for years. It speeds up the process and gives a nice even spread across the chips!
Now I think about it though, these "house-plant " type sprayers probably aren't food-grade plastic and vinegar is pretty corrosive stuff so I'd be a bit wary about using one myself.
And anyway, I'm a lousy shot with a sprayer, everyone would get a bit!:rotfl:0 -
I think it was about 40p more in Morrisons for the spray bottle but they are a really good idea because everything on the plate doesn't end up soaked. If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00

Sorry, couldn't disagree more! I too thought spray vinegar was a good idea, but you end up spraying your work surface/table if you want to give a good covering on your chips, no matter how careful I was. Plus I didn't feel I was getting enough vinegar on them - so I've gone back to normal vinegar and the 'drown my plate' method!!:rotfl:0

I like plenty of vinegar so I don't think this for me. Novel idea though.0

Does anyone know if the bottle is refillable? or is it better to stick with a proper spray bottle.
And Weightwatchers have a version too (my mums a leader and its her favorite tool) she fills hers with balsamic vinegar. It does not squirt anywhere but the plate she is using it on.
There are also the one-kcal-sprays which also dispense sprayed vinegar, but theirs are mixed with oil. (Hence it being 1 kcal a spray). These though, are not refillable.0 -
Whats the difference between Sarsons and cheapo-value brand vinegar?0
