As for what would you do with it what else would you use it for to goto court i would think would be the only thing that you could use the information for
So if your ex had a new partner but Social Services were monitoring the family for some reason, the name of the new partner might well be blacked out, as would the names and any other identifying details of any other children in the extended family.
Also I know that doctors can remove details if it's felt that the information might be harmful to you. I can't think of a specific example there, it's all outside my direct experience.Signature removed for peace of mind0
