Help please,Adding photos to facebook, and just generaly on internet.

I never really know how to do this,I get so far, choosing piccies, then when I try to upload them,it doesnt work.
I guess they are too big.But after spending all night going through holiday pics,I cant face faffing any more!
Do I have to reduce each picture individualy? or can I reduce all in a folder?
Then on Facebook, surely I don't have to load them all one by one? when I select open all it doesn't respond?
I'm sure it must be easy,but.....
I would like to work out how to do this quick easy and faf free!

ok one way to compress your photos without any special software is to select them all in the file folder, right click and select send to-> mail recipient and then click make pictures smaller, this will open an email with all the compressed photos as attachments, then highlight the list of attached files and drag them onto the desktop (or another folder), Hey presto.
    Hope this helps.
ps facebook can in my experience be a bit temperamental so you may have to try aain. also if your browser blocks activeX you'll have to use the basic uploader.

Digital camera images are far too big (dimension and file size) to upload anywhere, nobody is going to have a monitor capable of viewing say a 10 mega pixel image at 100% magnification.... You'd be looking at a small section of the image. Instead you want an image thats around 25% of that.

PixResizer, it's a pretty neat, relatively simple to use and free batch resizing program for your photo's (it'll do hundreds all at once). Just make sure it is NOT set to "over-write" the original files.
