Acer Aspire loading XP

Hi, I'm after some advice/assistance
I have recently bought one of the Acer Aspire 150 notebooks and have tried a number of ways to change the OP to windows XP
have tried going via the video tutorial on you tube, get so far and run into problems
the easy option would seem to be the external CD/DVD drive, well guess what :mad::mad:
despite having 3 different version discs for XP none seem to work, the Acer won't recognise any of the discs,
can any one tell me where I'm going wrong

At what point is the install failing? Is it even booting from the CD?0
