As has been repeated already, there are numerious interest free cc's out there for 12/18months etc so most half intelligent people never pay any fees for borrowing free money. Plus with free balance transfers also, there is no reason to have to pay any big interest charges!0

I guess eveyone here does use them which makes me wonder what you guys do for a living???
I am amazed no-one has yet answered the question.
I am an IT consultant. It's a reasonably well paid job but not mega bucks.
I use credit cards simply to put all my monthly spending on it and then pay it all off each month. Makes it easier to manage my money.
I have never paid the banks a penny in interest or charges over 20 years but use cashback offers and benefits (like warranties, insurance etc.).
If I want to buy anything then in general I save up for it and don't over extend myself. I will be mortgage free in a few years which will be a fantastic posistion to be in because I can then be
1) free to chose my work
2) not stressed about unemployment or having to stress about debts
3) or can have a nice lifestyle and load my pension0 -

Ok, to copy lisyloo, I work in security. Not megabucks but at least hourly paid so you can (whenever you want) work extra to earn extra money which in the current climate is handy.
I am usually found lurking the doldrums of a finance department or internal staffing issues, internal related fraud (including IT abuse). However, have been known to freelance at certain events and also work a lot in close protection when jobs permit (very dry area of work but mega bucks when available)......
If you don't steal from your employer then it's unlikely you'll know of our existence..... :rotfl:
I am not in debt but use credit cards just to buy day-to-day things for no reason other than because I have the card. If I didn't, i'd use cash and/or debit card
Oh, i'm also stoned most the time (have I already mentioned that.....) :rotfl:

O.K. then, I am an accountant. Not mega bucks yet, but I am getting there:-))
I use only 0% purchase credit cards mainly because I slow stooze with it and also collect points (I have M&S, Tesco credit card, MBNA rewards...)
Last year I used them to pay for new furniture (one big amount) and then pay it off for period of time... Also on 0% of course...0 -
My official title is Consultant. In what I hear you ask? I agree, stupid title but hey, not my choice.
Basically I do global payroll coordination and sometimes the same for financial statments and corporate income tax. Zzzzzz. lol
It pays fairly well at my level, but not megabucks (yet! lol).
I'm just paying for all my foolish mistakes in my youth. Live and learn.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I guess I should say what I do having asked the question in the first place!
I am a Solutions Architect (IT not houses!). Love the job and it pays OKish but not quite enough to hold back the debts that have slowly grown since I was a student. Ironically I work in the finance industry...0
