How? Without wanting to sound patronising, I've dealt in a large number of warrants, options, futures, CFDs and other financial instruments and I do know what I'm talking about. What I have posted is correct. Don't post saying that I'm wrong unless you are going to back it up with some figures to prove I'm wrong. Silly person.

I am not saying you are wrong, just that the way you posted your first response to the OP seemed a long winded way of doing it, with mine I filled in the warrant form and sent it with the cheque then received the shares by return of post, no conversion selling at warrant prices etc, just a personal illustration of how I did it.
Where I mentioned the difference I was relating to the fact that at the moment the OP has 8 shares and 18 warrants which unless they exchange them for the 98p each are worthless to them in there current form, by exchanging for shares they end up with an extra £169.04 after the cost of 98p each is deducted, when I looked at your first example it suggested there would only be a marginal difference, 81p, but that involved your complicated exchange this, sell this, that buy that etc, when the simple solution was the one I described. Idiot

    That's it, work the body!!

You can sell warrants in the open market, you don't have to convert them - they are not 'worthless'. Ignoramus.

  • Sorry chaps. I didn't mean to start a verbal punchup.
Perhaps now is the time to call it a day and go down the pub for a pint or two. Anyway, thanks again for the help.
