£5000 lump sum and £250 a month to save

Hello

I have £5000 lump sum and £250 a month to save and trying to find the best deals out there.

I tried the Barclays where i could get 6% if i saved £250 a month but they said i couldnt put the £5000 into the account also.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

well i was in the same situation as you a few months ago.
so i opened a abbey first homesaver, as it has a good interest rate. you can deposit in up to 5k with regular payments each month.

check it out, if your eligible- they do have a few terms and conditions
