In addition I do not harbour the following prejudices
1.Homeowners are somehow superior to people that rent.
2.People who rent need training.
3.People who rent don't have decent jobs.
I seem to remember this country got on very well when house prices were affordable.
I don't think home owners are all Selfish Greedy either.:T

Hi Graham.:)
Yer, I said that once so obvious nearlynew is me!! You, sir, are a bloody genius.
You should stop whinging about being the victim constantly, and concentrate on not winding people up the wrong way.
Now i know your age, I find it highly bizzare you'd go to such lenghts on here.0 -
I agree a house price crash will not benefit a lot of people and I don't want people to lose their houses. But what we need to remember is that it is the crazy HPI that brought it all in the first place. What needs to happen is for house prices to stagnate for a while and then rise at sensible levels in line with inflation. That way people can enjoy their homes instead of always thinking about equity,etc.0

No that's fine. So I will carry on thinking that you sold at market value like the rest of the country.
Non of your arguments have convinced me you are some kind of social landlord.0 -

I agree.I was merely referring to the tone of some of the posts here which seemed to imply that they were somehow superior because they were homeowners.
Lots of nasty tenants out there as well !0 -

I did sell at the market value.
But in order to sell, I had to first acknowledge that the market value had dropped.
That's the difference between me and "the rest of the country"
It is not 2007 anymore and the funny money that propped up our phony economy is no longer available to support such high prices.
